To set up your personalized voicemail across the Intermedia Unite ecosystem, you can manage your greetings through the desktop app, mobile app, or directly from your desk phone.
Since your system is cloud-based, a greeting recorded on one device will automatically sync to your desk phone and all other Unite applications.
Method 1: Using the Unite Desktop App (Recommended)
This is often the easiest way to record and manage multiple greetings.
- Open the Unite Desktop App.
- Click on your Profile Picture or initials in the top-left corner.
- Select Settings and then click on the Voicemail tab.
- Find the Voicemail Greeting section.
- Click Manage Greetings to record a new one using your computer's microphone or to upload an existing audio file.
- Once saved, ensure the new greeting is selected as "Active."
Method 2: Using the Unite Mobile App
- Open the Unite App on your mobile device.
- Tap your Profile Icon in the top-left.
- Go to Call Settings > Voicemail.
- Tap on Voicemail Greeting.
- Tap Custom to record a new personalized message. Press Save when finished.
Method 3: Using your Desk Phone
If you prefer using the physical handset, you can access the Audio Text Menu:
- Press the Voicemail button (often an envelope icon) or dial *98 from your extension.
- Enter your PIN (default is usually provided by your admin if not already set).
- Press 0 for Mailbox Options.
- Press 1 to record your Unavailable Greeting.
- Follow the voice prompts to record, review, and save your message.
Quick Tips for a Professional Greeting
- Identify yourself: Clearly state your name and organization.
- Manage expectations: Mention that you will return the call as soon as possible or provide an estimated response time.
- Offer alternatives: If it is an urgent matter, you may want to direct the caller to a general support line or an administrative colleague.
