Changing Your Outbound Caller ID in Intermedia Unite

If you are covering a phone lines for an absence, IT has granted your account access to use both your regular number and the absent employee's number. You can easily switch between them before making a call depending on who you are reaching out to.

 

Here is how to do it on both applications:

On the Desktop App

  1. Open the Intermedia Unite app on your computer.
  2. Click the Dialpad icon (the phone handset) on the left-hand menu.
  3. Look directly above the number keys (right below the "Enter name or number" box). You will see a dropdown menu labeled Call As or Caller ID.
  4. Click that dropdown and select the phone number you want clients to see on their caller ID before you hit the call button.

 

On the Mobile App

  1. Open the Intermedia Unite app on your phone.
  2. Tap the Calls icon at the bottom of the screen, then tap the blue Dialpad button.
  3. At the very top of the dialpad screen (just above the numbers where your regular line is listed), tap on your current phone number.
  4. A menu will appear at the bottom of your screen. Select the number you want to display for the call.

 

Pro Tip: Your selection will remain as the default until you change it back. Once you are done making calls on behalf of the absent employee, make sure to follow these same steps to switch the dropdown back to your personal office number!
